I am InshAllah getting married in about three months in Karachi.
I am excited for my wedding and all but I am even more excited about the whole dressing up after the wedding part. My inlaws are very traditional kind of people and they would want me to dress up like a nai-nawayli dulhan for quite a bit, and unlike most of the girls who mind wearing fancy cloths,jewelry after wedding I am actually really excited for it.
I am just unsure of the extend of dressing up, does girls wear really heavy cloths and gold jewelry all the time or light semi formal cloths with some makeup? I haven’t lived in Pakistan for over 13 years so I don’t know what to expect, my only exposure is tv dramas which are really misleading.

Don't go by what dramas show as they don't really show real Pakistani women. By real I mean how they really act/dress. Thats all I can say since I myself have not been to Pakistan in over ten years. I do know long ago the girls would wear their wedding teeka to the next few weddings.
