So does any one out there own an excercise ball? Not the toner or the medicinal ball. It’s bigger. So if you do, do you know any good excercises with it that can tone specifically the waist, buttocks and the thighs? Any other excercises would be awesome too.
Well, u can do situps, thats the most common one. You can do pushups with ur feet/shins on the ball. You can do back stretching by laying on it on ur back and move back and forth slowly. You can even lift it with ur arms pointing out straight in front and u can move it up and down, it,ll work ur shoulders and u can work other muscles in ur back by sqeezing them while doing the motions as well. you can do dumbell curls or military presses (holding dumbells on the sides at the shoulder level while ur elbows point downwards and taking em straight up while sitting on it etc. be creative.

how would you do situps with the ball?
currently i am using the ball as a second chair. it's actually pretty fun as a chair :D

I personally cannot balance myself on the ball to do crunches but one of the things I can do is hold the ball between my legs (at my feet) while lying down and then push it up which works my inner thighs and my abdomen.
well u gotta balance urself on the ball,,, have ur lower back on the ball, and try and lift ur upper body up... just like normal situps/crunches, you might find it hard to balance at first but u,ll get there and because u have to balance and then do situps, it targets other muscles in ur abdomen as well, not just the abs. Doing weights and other exercises using the ball works those tiny muscles in the body used for balance etc.
BEB...im not clear when you said situps...i mean i know what a situp is...but the only way i can use touch the ground with my head and hands is if i do that weird yoga thingy, but with the ball under my back
