The Holy Prophet Sallalaho Ta'ala Alaihi Wa Alayhi Wasulum has said, 'When a person recites Durood Shareef, the angels send mercies upon him. It is that person's choice if he reads more or less.'* (sunan ibn'e Majah, P65)*

The Holy Prophet Sallalaho Ta'ala Alaihi Wa Alayhi Wasulum said, 'Whoever reads Durood Shareef two hundred times on Friday, two hundred years of his sins will be forgiven.' (Kanzul-Ummal, V1, P256, Hadith 2238)

The Holy Prophet Sallalaho Ta'ala Alaihi Wa Alayhi Wasulum said, 'Whoever writes Durood Shareef in a book, until my name remains in that book, the angels will seek forgiveness for that person.' (mu'jamul awsat, V1, P497, Hadith 1835)

*Many of us will probably not write a book, but we do write letters, type emails, documents, post of forums and blogs. So we can always write Darood Sharif in our email, our blog and forum posts and gain the blessings mentioned in this Hadees. So when ever you speak or write the Blessed Name of Prophet Muhammad Sallalaho Ta'ala Alaihi Wa Alayhi Wasulum then always speak and write complete Darood Sharif "Sallalaho Ta'ala Alaihi Wa Alayhi Wasulum" **

Camel started to speak
It is stated in ‘Sa’adat-ud-Da’rayn’ that once two people came into the court of the Holy Prophet (sallallahu ta’ala alaihi wa aalihi wa’sallam). One person blamed the other person of stealing his camel and he even had two witnesses proving that he did steal the camel. Therefore the accused was found guilty of stealing the camel, but upon this, the accused said, “Oh Prophet of Allah (az’zawajal wa sallallahu ta’ala alaihi wa aalihi wa’sallam, please do a favour upon me and ask the camel what really happened. I have a strong belief in Allah (az’zawajal) that he will give this camel the strength to speak. So, the Mercy of the Worlds (sallallahu ta’ala alaihi wa aalihi wa’sallam) ordered the presence of the camel and said, “Oh Camel, tell me who I am and tell me what really happened?”
The camel started to speak and said, “You are the Prophet of Allah (az’zawajal wa sallallahu ta’ala alaihi wa aalihi wa’sallam). Do not cut off the hand of my owner because the person who accused him and the two witnesses are all hypocrites. Because of their hatred towards you, they made a plan to get the hand of your beloved Companion (radi Allahu anhu) cut off. The Prophet (sallallahu ta’ala alaihi wa aalihi wa’sallam) asked the owner of the camel, “What is the action that you do that has saved you today?” He replied, “I have no special actions that I do, but one thing I do all the time whether standing or sitting is that I invoke blessing (Durood Shareef) on to you”. The Prophet (sallallahu ta’ala alaihi wa aalihi wa’sallam) said, “Stay steadfast in this action as Allah (az’zawajal) will free you from the fire of Hell just as he saved your hand from getting cut off today.”
Allama Safouri (rahmatullahi ta’ala alay) has added in ‘Nuzha-tul-Majaalis’ that the Prophet (sallallahu ta’ala alaihi wa aalihi wa’sallam) said to him, “When you cross over the bridge of Siraat (The bridge over Hell, which is sharp as a sword and thin as a hair), your face will be shining just like the moon shines on its fourteenth night.”

The book Al Qaulul Badee' states that a resident of Shiraz dreamt of Sayyiduna Abul Abbas Ahmad Bin Mansoor Rehmatullah Ta'la Alah standing in the mihrab of the main masjid of Shiraz wearing a crown of pearlson his head, dressed in a heavenly garment. The man seeing the dream asked, 'What did Allah Azzawajal do to you?' He replied, 'Alhamdu-Lillah عَزَّوَجَل I used to recite Durood in abundance and it is this that saved me. Allah Azzawajal forgave me and made me enter Heaven wearing a crown of pearls. (Al Qaulul Badee', P112, Dar-ul-Kutubul Ilmiyyah Beirut)
