Exam Procrastination

So I am feeling incredibly lazy in prepping for an industry certification exam mostly because the content is extremely boring. My firm is sponsoring the exam so I have to not only pass it, but do really well (95%+). It’s a competitive thing that we have going on where we will all share the exam results.

I tried to revise and do a few practice problems but it is so incredibly mind numbing that after a few hours I would rather be doing something else.

Any one have any advice on tackling this problem? I’ll take anything from small tricks to increase my interest to Dua’s.

How did u manage to get through undergraduate if u find ur industry/exams so boring?

Hey Sara..

I loved undergrad because the content was really interesting to me. I studied Econ, so I could connect everything to real life events. This certification is for Enterprise Risk Management, a topic I could care less about. It delves so deep into risk theory that I get so bored.

My firm is 'strongly recommending' this certification because of all the problems in I-Banking so we all signed up for it. What is worse is the fact that we're a pretty competitive group so I need to do really well. If this had been Finance related, I would have destroyed the competition :D

kher the worst part of the story is u need 95%. i mean either study only to pass it or either know everything and ace it with 100% (cuz i dont get it why are ya eating those 5% :hehe:) :woho:

I am pulling an all nighter as we speak. I am fully committed to getting that 95% - only that 95%..its a matter of izzat.

I always have a plan, even when people don’t think so. There were tons of pics from last night, i just need to get them from my friends, who are probably sleeping off their hangovers.

Bohut shukria, you have to be zinda dil to be out and about last night, my parents were in London, they went out for dinner and watched the fireworks, so I had to top that in the States :smiley:

Anyways back to studying, a few more all nighters and I should be ok.
