Ex-President Musharraf faces hostile questioning from an indian audience

discusses Mumbai attacks and the role of ISI & Pak army among other issues

Well this is a bit old (March 2009) and time-consuming but it is worth watching

I support Imran Khan on many issues (except for his stance on taliban) but even I cannot help but praise the courage, confidence and eloquence of this man. Musharraf is intelligent and a gripping orator. I am not in favour of military rule and yes Mushy made a lot of mistakes 2007 onwards but atleast he speaks like a president. He talked commonsense. Compare him to the incumbent (Zardari), Nawaz or Gilani who do not even know how to address the nation.

Would Zardari, NS or even Manmohan Singh, Advani or Sonia willingly submit themselves to such hostile questioning from an Indian audience and emerge both unscathed and with their amour-propre intact?

Like him or loathe him, Musharraf held the India Today Conclave spell bound for over two-and-a-half hours!

Musharraf has vowed he will never go to India as his visa was rejected

Parts 2 & 9 (takes Q from a female Kashmiri pundit, 02:24-03:45 is really funny) and the last 3 parts are esp. good

Part 11 (takes Q from ex-soviet chess player Garry Kasparov)
Part 12 (takes Q from ex-India Army Chief Gen. (retd) VP Malik)
Part 13 (answers VP Malik)

I must say Mushy has guts and the way he handled Q is just beautiful, diplomatic as well as blunt.

Re: Ex-President Musharraf faces hostile questioning from an indian audience

man is a real leader :k: handled the audience quite well… i’d like to see any other indian or pakistani leader face such hostile questions and keep calm like that… and i liked the fact that he lectured the molvi about hypocrisy
