Mashallah, good to see that the EX CJ Iftikhar Chaudhury has realised that it is time to give up his agitational politics, and work for reconciliation with the democratically elected President, great Asif Ali Zardari. What would the Sharif brothers do if there is reconciliation between the EX CJ and the democratically elected government of Pakistan?
Iftikhar asked for reconciliation with Zardari: Mukhtar
LAHORE: Defence Minister Ahmed Mukhtar claimed on Saturday sacked chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had approached him several times through ‘friends’ to reconcile with President Asif Ali Zardari.
According to a private TV channel, Mukhtar said the sacked CJP had conveyed messages to him for reconciliation. However, Chaudhry’s spokesman Athar Minallah said Mukhtar’s statement was false. He said the minister should apologise to the nation and the lawyers for his lies. He alleged that President Zardari and “his friends” were campaigning against Chaudhry.
Separately, the defence minister warned Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif against inciting people to civil disobedience, saying political turmoil would only strengthen the Taliban.
According to a private TV channel, Mukhtar told reporters in Gujrat the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and the Awami National Party were trying for reconciliation between the Pakistan People’s Party and the PML-N. He said governor’s rule in Punjab might be lifted before the scheduled period of two months. He also ruled out any possibility of martial law or mid-term elections in the country.
Re: EX CJ Iftikhar asked for reconciliation with Zardari: Mukhtar
Mochi remains alway Gum Sum in Cabinet Meetings even not speak when Prime Minister ask any question .Absent minded and whenever speaks ,make the people laugh
Ch. Mukhtar is one of the most undeserving and least impressive of our cabinet ministers. The guy belongs in the same category as Wasi Zafar, Ghulam Dastagir and many others.
It really is good to see the EX CJ reaching out for reconciliation. It is time for him to give up his futile hostility towards the democratically elected government.

Before election even Zardari had agreed to restoration of CJ, so you are wrong here again.
Re: EX CJ Iftikhar asked for reconciliation with Zardari: Mukhtar
before election many ppl had said there is no way zardari will restore the crook, but ppl are like goldfish, short term memories, did not see who was calling the shots, supported that political party and well the rest we all know.

i) Who are you referring to as crook?
ii) When did Zardari restore anyone?
iii) The crook seems to be hiding inside the Army house.
Re: EX CJ Iftikhar asked for reconciliation with Zardari: Mukhtar
who? It was pretty clear...the former CJ iftikhar, he is a crook. was a crook and will stay a crook. just because the way he was removed was dodgy does not clean the slate for all the favours he got for his son and in doign so abused the highest judiciary office in the land.
that does not change the fact that ppl in power supporting him or opposed to him are crooks as well.
musharraf remobved him, zardari promised to restore him, now nawaz wants to estore him. all have their own reasons for saying or doing what they did, there is no principled stance involved, not from these crooks
they should all go, each and everyone of them, those who took part in the entire mess our ncountry is in, and those who stood by and let it happen
