After reading the original post, my question is, that if there is a man, (could be a woman but I am not interested!!), who is a Good Human Being but He Does Drink!
Dehatan my response you your question is
Is janat only for Muslims ?
i mean there are thousands of good ppl who are not muslims ?
will they be chucked of to dozakh just because Allah will act biased towards muslims ?
ps does it state anywhere in Quran that only "MUSLIMS" will go to Jannat ?
Mundyaa,
Are intoxicants forbidden if they are taken for medicinal purposes??
For example cannabis is also an intoxicant, however it has scientifically been proved to help alot of terminally ill patients in regaining some control over their bodies, such as people with MS (Multiple Sclerosis, it is a disease which attacks the nervous system and weakens all nerves, totally destroying any movement the person had). And this is not theory, I have seen it first hand.

No, i do not have the source but will try to find it. It was actually on the news last year, where MS sufferers were asking it to be legalised because of the benefits it had. I also read an article in the Readers Digest about it.
that if there is a man, who is a Good Human Being but He Does Drink!<<
the answer is >>a) Not a Good Muslim<<
And what are His chances of Jannat?<<
Only Allah knows!!!
and now Anchal…
will they be chucked of to dozakh just because Allah will act biased towards muslims ?<<
first Dehatan asked about a human being and did not restrict her question about Muslims. Seconly, the path to Janah is layed out and anyone who follows that course will be (with Allah’s permission offcourse!!) granted entry. If one follows the traffic rules it is less likely that one will get a ticket. But to blame it on race or road or anything else when voilates the rule, and then accusing officer of being biased is not a maturity.
ps does it state anywhere in Quran that only “MUSLIMS” will go to Jannat ?<<
"The Bedouins say: We are true believers. Say: You have not attained faith. Rather say: We accept Islam. For true faith has not yet found its way into your hearts. If you obey Allah and His messenger, He will not deny you the reward of your labors. Allah is much forgiving, merciful.. The true believers are those who have faith in Allah and His messenger, and thereafter have no doubt; and who strive hard in Allah’s cause with their possessions and their lives. Those are indeed the ones who are true to their word. " (49;14-15).
You know who is His messenger and belief, rather faith upon him is pre-request.
anything taken as a form of medicine is ok. In the times of the prophet there was a drink "nabidha" which was used to cure some ailments. im not sure what. when intoxicants were banned... the sahaba thought that nabidah was also forbidden. however in a later hadith the use of nabidah was allowed. Infact the prophet (pbuh) used it himself. Any medicine when used in the right essence can not be classified as "intoxicants". If you drink benadryl syrup once or twice to cure cough then thats allowed even though it contains alcohol. But if you grab a six pack of benadryl and start gulping them to get a buzz then thats an intoxicant.
About repenting... dehatan Allah can forgive a human being for any and all sins if one repents. But the sins that effect other human beings cannot be forgiven. A drunk driver who kills an innocent person on the road should not get away with just a DUI ticket and a $100 fine. I think if ones drinking habits do not effect others then its something that falls under "haqooq Allah" which can be forgiven upon sincere forgiveness. But if ones drinking habits effect his/her family, results in abuse and other horrendous curses of drinking then the person is not abiding "haqooq ul ibad" (rights of fellow humans). Which can not be forgiven by even the Almighty.
I think what you are referring to is the wanna be "social" crowd who drinks occasionally infront of their christian/hindu buddies just to be in the "in crowd". This is due to weak faith and due to the constant bombardment of western and other countries where drinking is considered normal. In a big picture these
"thali kai bengan" muslims do not constitute a majority but a small minority.
Baykhatr
you still didnt answer my question
will all Non-Muslims not be granted Jannat just cause they are not muslims ?
Is being a non muslims automatically makes one a sinner ?
eating pork, drinking alcohol, are small acts regarding being a good human being, respecting others, helping those in need, ?
so if a christain is a good person who helps needy, respects others doesnt abuse or cuss then also he will be chucked off to hell just cause he doesnt have the name tag of "muslim" on his shirt ?
naaa your verses have failed to answer my question and referring life to some kinda traffic laws is idiotic although you dont go to jail for speeding now do you ?
Anchal....>>Baykhatr

I thought I did. I qouted from Qura~n. But I see what you may mean. Let me try this appraoch. Janah cannot be claimed as a matter of right. Just because one has been a good Muslim or has performed good deads all one's life, even then it is entirely upon Allah's blessings that, that person would be allowed to Janah. Anyone who is Muslim is entitled. Yes I would repeat only Muslims would be allowed in Janah. But before people start raising their eyebrows on this remark, they ought to look who is Muslim?? Qura~n calls every righteous person as a Muslim. Anyone who submits is a Muslim and therefore is entitled. People from the time of Adam to Mohammad pbuta, (true followers that is) are Muslims. The followers of Abraham, pbuh, and all other prophets were all Muslims.
Is being a non muslims automatically makes one a sinner ?
eating pork, drinking alcohol, are small acts regarding being a good human being, respecting others, helping those in need, ?<<
No. Small or big acts will not go unrewarded, be they performed by Muslim or kaafir. Will they be enough to grant him Janah, I do not know.
so if a christain is a good person who helps needy, respects others doesnt abuse or cuss then also he will be chucked off to hell just cause he doesnt have the name tag of "muslim" on his shirt ?<<
First, the counting to Janah and Jahanam will not be as that of sheeps or name tags. It is a long and laboreous process and one keeps on strugling for it every day of one life and only then one may seek Almighty's blessing to be send to Janah. The pre-request is that one has to be Muslim as 'Allah has accepted ONLY Islam as the religion to humanity'.
naaa your verses have failed to answer my question and referring life to some kinda traffic laws is idiotic although you dont go to jail for speeding now do you ?<<
U r reading what is not there. I never said anything about going to jail. Those were not my verses. You can look into Qura~n. Or read some scholars tafsir, if you like. If I fail to convince you, that is fine too. To you your deen and to me mine!. I will pray that you are sent to Janah. That is all I can do for you.
*“This is some of the wisdom revealed to you (in this Quran), and YOU SHALL NOT SET UP ANY OTHER GOD BESIDE GOD (by following any other source beside Quran). **Otherwise, you will be thrown into hell, blamed and debased.” (17:39) ***
“Surely, those who do not believe our revelations, and are too arrogant to heed them, the gates of the sky never open for them, nor will they ever enter Paradise until the camel passes through the needle’s eye. We thus requite the guilty.” (7:40)
question of eating pork, drinking alcohol will come later, first worry about the question that will be asked in the grave i.e “who’s ur lord?”
again, these good/bad deeds will count for only after judging one’s belief about his creator…
“Whoever disregards My message (Quran) shall have a miserable life, then we will resurrect him, on the Day of Resurrection, blind. He will say, ‘My Lord, why did You resurrect me blind, when I used to be a seer (in the first life)?’ (God will say), ‘This is because Our revelations came to you, but your forgot them, and consequently, today we forget you.’ We thus punish those who exceed the limits and refuse to believe the verses of their Lord. And surely, the retribution in the Hereafter is far worse, and everlasting.” (20:124-127)
hope this answers ur query, but if you still wanna act “i-don’t-give-a-hoot”, then:
“Thus, we have cited for the people in this Quran all kinds of examples. Yet, no matter what kind of proof you present to the disbelievers, they say, ‘You are falsifiers.’” (30:58)
