Some of us are a bit weary before buying something, people may looka round first before buying somehting. On the other hand, some ladies tend not to look around, you set your eyes on something and that’s it. YOU HAVE TO BUY IT THERE AND THEN. I fall into the latter category unfortunately. I’d rather not part ways from something I like.
A few months ago this guy at a HERSTYLER stand stopped me in the MetroCentre. He was selling curlers. He curled some of my hair and I really liked the way it looked. He told me it was £100. I happily handed over the money and came home. Pagl! ( gs guppan) saw them and her initial reaction was " MKD you’re so silly they are on ebay for £40. They aint worth a £100".
I checked online and to my dismay I discovered that she was right. I couldn’t take the product back even though it hadn’t been used since they have a no return policy. This is not the first time I did something like this. I’m pretty used to it by now.
I’m sure lots of you here have similar stories. C’mon get writing we wanna hear
Re: Ever paid more for something that's cheaper elsewhere?
oh nooo... :-( i HATE it when that happens!
I have paid 10 pounds (sorry the pound sign on my laptop isnt working lol) for OPI nail varnishes in the past.. and when I mentioned this to my sister in Canada, she was like those are sold at the drugstore here for like $8! Not the same as ur MKD story but I kicked myself nonetheless (and promptly gave my sis a list, lol!)
Re: Ever paid more for something that's cheaper elsewhere?
sometimes, your heart is set on somethng, a piece of jewelery, a pair of shoes or a bag etc....and u cannot wait until the sale comes or have to find it elsewhere.......
i have to think about it, and i dont want to think about what the results may be :(
