ever had this feeling.... ?

…that all you are doing is worth nothing so far, i mean 20 yrs of my life i have been studying and will probably be studying for the next 2 to 3 yrs and if i decide on doing masters (highly unlikely) then next 5 yrs .. so by the time i am 25, (almost 1/3 of life span) i would have done nothing but studying.. what a waste.. makes me depressed.. i want to do something dynamic.. like i don’t know :frowning:

is all this studying worth it?

one big fat word  YES :k:

study is always worth something...even if u dont get a job afterwards... knowledge in unmeasureable :)

Ansoon hun, i think everyone goes thru that phase, not once, but a few times in our lifetime. so just relax and enjoy ur school/college days :)
with the course of time you will find something that you love to do.
something dynamic!

Hey ansoon, Whats your location mate??? Pak or US ???

Well as sadzzz said study always pay off. BUT

if you are out-side pakistan may be try looking for internship / graduate programs offered by companies in you field of education.
so by the time you will finish your study you will already be on payroll of a good company and will know in which direction you wana go.

e.g. if you have joined some computer networking company a Maters in CS will not help but MCSE, CNE, CCNA, Maters in Telecomunicatio will help.

same way if you are a programer and doing programing in Oracle a masters in CS will not help but Oracle certifications will do help.

if in pakistan try to work for the companies for free (thats paki style, they just dont wana pay you)

now for the dynamic side,
go for go-kart racing, spend few years and then who knows you might be driving indy car , and finally F-1 , remmeber michael shoe-maker is retiering in 2006 so you have a chance :)
