i was shopping for Bakra Eid with my cousins and one of my cousin told me tht ARY Digital’s team was right there interviewing people on streets regarding their feed back about prices dring Eid days.:halo:
So i literally went to the gu with Mic but by the time i could reach there , they had gone to the other side. lol:bummer: . it wasnt u wanna show up on tv, but sometimes , its important to have ur voice heard.
Then again i myself i think never showed up in tv.A couple of weeks ago when President Musharraf visited my cousin wedding, every channel showed its coverage so may be in audience Just a glimpse.
yup.. 1998, my team won a highschool-level national competition, old mayor of brampton, mr peter robertson invited us for a tv interview and promotional thing.. competition's winning ceremony was also aired on national circuits..
then pretty much Cable Pulse 24 and Global ki teams ke sath ankh micholi chalti rahi.. where ever we went, they were there.. always got asked HEY DO YOU WANNA BE ON TV.. (it was SO easy to get on tv here that it lost that whole charm) :D
Yeah.. two yrs ago I think..me n ma friend were shoppin n on our way home.. a guy came to us.. he asked me whether I was interested in presentin a tv show.. for a local desi channel.. I asked him y he aproached me.. he said ke ur desi girl n we need desi ppl for our show n it seems ur a desi girl who speaks urdu n dutch very good.. n thas what they wanted.. I didnt know what to say but he gave me his card n told me to call him if I wanna do this job.. I didnt even had to do a screentest.. dont ask me y.. but eventually I didnt do it.. coz the job was in the hague n I live abt 2 hrs away from it.. so it would b impossible for me to do it.. But I have to admit if I'd lived in that city I would've done it..
I have been on national Tv. Once I had this summer job working in a shop. There was some problem with a factory that made crisps and the Tv crew wanted some footage of the crisps being removed. They even bought their own box of crisps and I had to remove them from the shelf. I was in the morning news.
My office has also been in the news. We even had a presenter in here and it was shown on TV. Sometimes we even get requests from production companies to shoot inside for dramas.
i was on a 3 part series (a forum-based show) about 3 yrs ago which was about the life of Prophet Yusuf (AS). The forum consisted of 6 girls and 6 guys along with the host/speaker.
I have appeared several times in the T.V., both back in Pakistan and here in USA.
The last time, if I remember correctly, I was seen on the T.V. in a short video footage made by yours truely at the school Alumni Eid Millan party in December 2004 hosted by the school I attended when I was visiting Pakistan. The same video was run on the T.V. in New York couple of times.
Other instances where I have been appeared on T.V. were occassions like, Marriage ceremonies of friends and relatives, birthday parties, Aqeeqa, Roza Kushaai, Bismillah ceremonies, quiz shows in the neighbourhood, Na’at and Qirat competition by the walfare society of the Mohalla in Karachi and also in school, position holders ceremonies in the ol good school days etc. etc.
