This will be an opportunity for art enthusiasts and admirers to witness one of the richest, brilliant and most harmonious decorative styles of the art world. Mr. Wasif, who graduated from the National College of Arts in Lahore, brings with him over 38 years of experience in miniature paintings. Formerly the head of the Fine Arts Department in the Indus Valley School of Arts and Architecture in Karachi, Mr. Wasif is now settled in Alpharetta, Georgia. His work was recently displayed at the Annual Asian American Heritage Foundation for a month and enjoyed by several thousands of visitors. The paintings have attracted viewers aesthetically and have become a source of information about a form of art which is rooted in the diverse cultural, religious, and artistic traditions of Pakistan.

Can any new yorker guppie post the 3 events? I know that there will be one on August 14th in Shea Stadium, and Pakistan day parade on August 24th in manhattan. But I think the best of them would be the battery park mela in brooklyn, as Jawad and other pakistani artists would be performing there, which is not the case for the other 2 events. If any guppie can post the details on battery park mela, that will be awesome as I will be visiting nyc in a few days.
