Why are muslims not integrating to the countries they immigrate too ??? Well this statement is not quite true! Living in an european country I am able to see the situation.
The older generation of people that came to europe (about 20 to 30 years ago), came only to work for a certain period of time and they planned on leaving for back home after earning and saving money for some period of time, that's why they are/were called "Gast Arbeiter" in German, meaing "Guest workers" in Austria and Germany. They never intended to integrate into system, they were brought to Europe as at that time they had a demand of working class ppl. These ppl were not educated but came from villages and most of them did not even have proper schooling and education. They were brought to do chores like, cleaning, helpers in constructions, and any low type of work that the european did not wanted to do.
But like nobody did predict, they stayed. Now those older ppl did not integrate into the system. After living for 20 or 30 years some cannot even speak the german language and are not willing to give up their culture and way of life, they have been brought up on. But the childern of those guest workers are different. They have been born into this society, these kids, now grown ups have integrated successfully into the new society.
Where as religion goes, the muslim ppl in europe have all the freedom to pratice their religion, to build their mosques and to teach the childern their own religion, no one stops them.
There have not been any major conflits btw muslims and christians, anything else being said is just propaganda. The problems that do arise are not cos of religion but more of culture differences.

I ll admit i havent yet read the Washinton post report ,but just off the bat ,what is answer if you replace Muslims with any other ETHNIC or LINGUISTIC or RASCIAL group ..Blacks (afro American)SPanish,Indian ,Say Hindu In Malaysia or Bangladsh ???
Isnt this a social problem of hetero rascial society .Of course with globalization we see more & more of it but IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THERE & almost remain the same that one groups difficulties are easily & readily identified by other group .Every minority identify with jews in Holocaust ,Ever since then there are protective rights & anti Rascist Laws & punishments for rascism ,hate crime etc.

TO MUCH IS MADE OF ISLAM NOT RECOGNISING ANY NON MUSLI GOVT.I think Muslims living in Non muslimgovt DO NOT HAVE MORE THAN OPTHER GROUPS OUT LAW BEHAVIOUR .
IS thee scientific data to show muslims break laws more than non muslims in countries where nonmuslim govt exisist ....U.K. USA .Europe ,INDIA ,African countries of S.Africa.Kenya,Zimbabwe ????
