Euro2008
Not many strikers enter the field in a coat, but World’s best striker will enter Euro 2008 in this fashion.
This is a compilation of the best.
Pick 5 - 5 teams that are most likely to lift the trophy.
Fab 1 - Worth Watch
Grand Miss - This is a big miss.
The group formulation at the competetion is questionable. Italy, Netherlands and France put in same group, while there is usually a list of favorites and sub favorites to select from during this phase. Moreover, Netherlands put with Romani, which qualified from same group.
Pick 5 1. Bastian Schweinsteiger
Schweinsteiger can defend, Schweinsteiger cancontrol the ball, Schweinsteiger can shoot, Schweinsteiger can score and Schweinsteiger is at the top
2. Lukas Podolski
One of the most effectective strikers in this tournament
3. Michael Ballack
Ballack can turn the game with his control over the ball
4. Jens Lehmann
The best goalkeeper in game?? .....perhaps no :)
5. Torsten Frings Fab 1 Bastian Schweinsteiger
Grand Miss Miroslav Klose
klose can end up as top scorer of this competetion, but he is a grand miss on this list.
The defence is not as strong as expected from Italy, conceded a lot of goals in qualification . Piero and Toni at front supported by pirlo can trouble opposition.
Pick 5 1. Alessandro Del Piero
Failing to top Fifa’s award lists and always a topper in critiques’ list, the ‘golden boy’ of Italian soccer scored 25 goals this season to ensure his place in this squad and he is at his place.
2. Gianluigi Buffon
Its tough to fool Italian defense and then you face Buffon.
3. Gianluca Zambrotta
Most versatile player in this squad.
4. Andrea Pirlo
With his ability to control the ball and convert spot kicks, Pirlo holds value in this squad
5. Ivan Gennaro Gattuso
Who is more exciting to watch in Italian squad than Gattuso?? Fab 1 Luca Toni
Grand Miss Filippo Inzaghi
Where is ‘supper pippo’???
Regardless of how far Holland can proceed in a tournamnet, they enter with tournament's best strikers at their disposal and this squad is no exception.
Pick 5
1. Ruud van Nistelrooy 2. Arjen Robben 3. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar 4. Edwin Van der Sar 5. Giovanni Van Bronckhorst
Fab 1 Rafael Van der Vaart
Grand Miss Pierre Van Hooijdonk
There is no replacement to match Hooijdonk's effectiveness at spot kicks.
HERE NO ONE IS INTERESTED IN SOCCER:::ONLY GAY HOCKEY AND SUPER TWENTY TWENTY:::
I think u don't know the german squad very well. Schweinsteiger? Who is Schweinsteiger...Oh yeah, the boyfriend of Podolski...
Frings is the Leader, Ballack is the General...Klose is Ok...Lehmann catches flies...They should've have put Adler in the net...
Not sure why you say that. Just because women play hockey does not mean it is not a real sport. You probably never played hockey in your school days and never got hit on the unprotected part of the shin by an opponent's stick. Believe you me it hurts like hell. So there is nothing gay about hockey.
As for Euro 2008, come the QFs and you will see more interest in soccer. I just can't be bothered to watch every single group game esp. when your favourite team (Brazil) is not there for obvious reasons. European soccer does not do a lot for me. I just love the South American (attacking) style of soccer. Soccer should be more about scoring field goals rather than set-pieces. Most European teams are good in defence but rely heavily on set-pieces, corners etc. to score whereas Brazil and Argentina are perhaps not as strong in defence as some of the European teams but they usu. score more field goals which is more attractive to watch.
