I was listening to NPR this morning and they had a report on neo-Nazi parties getting support in rural Germany and some industrial part too along with Eastern Germany. But I wasn’t too interested in it, but then they mentioned something that really took me by surprise. According to the report, some industrial areas in Germany has an unemployment rate of up to 25%!
Is it only Germany or are the other European countries struggling as well? Which way the trend is going, up or down? How does it all look in the near future?
Germany is full of white lazy people who aren't as smart or hard working as Pakistani or other easterners and brown people. No wonder the unemployment is so high as they all major in the sissy EE and CS fields which are not demanding or challenging. These materialists have been living off the backs of the lovely brown people who love their families and do everything they can for them.
What got into you two? I am sure Irem must be laughing sitting there in her office thinking she can still rattle bones of people almost twice her age. tsk tsk tsk ..
Germany has strong unions that have hamstrung its economy. Different European countries have different unemployments rates. Where unions are weak, such as the UK. more people have jobs (UK unemployment : 4.7% )
God Bless Margaret Thatcher!!!!
At any rate, the actual German unemployment rate is 12.6% . The elevated figure of 25% only happens in certain localised spots in the country.
hmmm, I thought it might show how ridiculous these comments are. Anyway, unless she is still in Jr High, I don’t think I’m twice her age.
Germany’s highest unemployment rate since pre-WWII isn’t going to get any better with the 1% growth forecasted for 2005. Socialism isn’t all it is cracked up to be.
Germans need to make low quality products like USA does. So that way products break more frequently and people buy it more frequently. It will result in more production from German factories resulting in more jobs. For example German auto industry, they make really nice and high quality cars that last for decades. They need to make crappy American cars like Ford, Chevy, Dodge and other piece of trash brands cars that break every 5 to 8 years than the consumers are in market again looking for another vehicle.
In case if you are wondering that is this a serious post by me than the answer in NO :)
Ok, so how does this EU thing helping their economy? I thought the reason Germany, France & England wanted the union was to unionize against US and hopefully get some economic growth?
Also, what's the growth forecast looking for UK, France & Spain?
The logic being that one big economy will be more powerful than the sum of three small ones. The removal of trade barriers is a catalyst for economic growth.
