Etihad-travelling with baby

We are planning a trip to Pakistan through Etihad (chicago to Abu Dhabi). This will be our first time travellign with our 8-9 month old baby and we are nervous. We have never taken a longer flight before, we always stop in Europe somewhere but this time we are trying to avoid the layover. Is that a good idea? Does anyone have experience of thebassinet offered by Eithad ? ALl online reviews range from excellent to worse. So i am pretty confused. Please share your experiences and suggestions.

It will be fun... for all the passengers in flight......... enjoy! ;)

Re: Etihad-travelling with baby

I would recommend that you get the bulkhead seat ( the first seat which has wall in front of you),,, so that a baby bassinet can be installed in it... Your baby will be safe and you dont have to carry the baby for all the 13-14 hours...

baby bassinet are actually baby cots which are installed in the wall in front of you... Etihad is a very nice airline,, they will take good care of your baby,, but remember to get the BULKHEAD SEAT ... else you will be sitting somewhere in the back of the aircraft..

Re: Etihad-travelling with baby

lol at SIDS.

cool breeze, we booked with Etihad adn are not buying a seperate seat for the baby since she isnt happy in her car seat for mroe than 45 mins at a time. We have requested a bassinet so hope it comes through and they dont forget about it like some other reviews i have seen online said.

you dont need to buy any additional seat for the baby.... dont worry they will have the bassinet with them..
