Exactly Urdu has about as much in common with Punjabi as it does with Bengali... Punjabis are just more concerned about the well being of their nation and don't put petty 'Assabiyyah' before Paki unity..
Maintaning regional languages is the duty of parents and family etc. not the state.. nations need one language to keep them united, only those jaahils complain against Urdu who are too stupid to learn it.
