Can someone post a map of Afghanistan highlighting the Pashtun dominated areas with the main cities marked out?
If neighbouring Pak is included on the map highlighting the Pashtun regions of Pak especially Baluchistan it’ll be really helpful. thanks.

^ not knowing much about the Balochi & Puston blocks, I can safely say that Punjabi doesn't go that far south as is shown in the map, even the dilects towards the west of punjab are VERY different than the east of it.
Sindi doesn't look right either. Because the current sindh was carved out of a state that used to go all the way to Bombay in the early 19th century. (I think).

If we can keep Pashtuns in Afghanistan from adopting Dari and those in Pakistan from adopting Urdu and assimilate Baluch, Hindko, Siraiki and Nuristani people into our fold more throughly the Pashtuns on both sides of the border can eventually reunite into a Pashto speaking Pashtunistan, forget Afghanistan or Afghaniya the word Afghan has lost synonymiaty (just coined a word) with Pashtun and is associated with Bin Laden, not deny the history/heritage of our people but accept that Afghan was a temporary label given to us by foreigners and it doesn’t apply anymore, Pashtunistan sounds nice but it’s got the typical “Istan” on the end, Pashtunkhwa is a bit of a tongue twister and sounds weird for those not accustomed to the kh sound or Pashto.. What do you guys suggest as a name for our own country? day dreaming Something which obviously should have Pashtun in it but not Istan or Khwa.

I think the map includes Hindko and Siraiki as Punjabi on there.

afghan was not coined by foreigners bro. Its a very ancient word whihc stems from ashvakayana in sanskrit and in iranian languages aspagan--> afghan(modern term). I admire your patriotism, and am at the same time surprised that you of all people (no disrespect) are for pashtun nationalists ideas. Plus, we should be proud f all our names, pashtuns, pakhtun, afghan, we should not dismiss any. It should be pashtunistan/afghania(afghanistan)/pashtunkhwa. Any of the three, aryana would be sweet as well, but I like the old school ones I mentioned.

They have already shown Hindko and Siraiki speaking belts of NWFP as parts of the Punjab (DI Khan is on Punjab side, so is Hazara) and we don't wish to assimilate anyone except for whom it is natural to be assimilated.
Nuristanis, Pashais, Chitralis, and Kohistanis have almost all their contacts and links with outside world passing through Pashtun ethnic regions, which will have an impact on demographies. Their cultures must be preserved/protected.

That would be the last thing Afghans would want despite their hard situation...I don't know why are these Arabs, Persians, and Central Asians so allergic as not to be part of Muslim Ummah with us...!

sorry bro but also i don,t wanna part of any of these countries .....it is not we pakis who are demanding their land but they have some dream to wrest some land from us.....if it is for ummah then why don,t they join or as good muslims get out of our way,problems solved ......we pakis don,t need losers like these people with all their recourcess they are fat, lazy, ugly and didn,t lived up to their potention. we are are a nation of 160mil people large enough to teach persian or arabs or any other munifiqs how to behave with us.i am not nationalist but muslims who bash my nation deserve more punisment then india as far am i concerned coz they call themself muslim but their action aren,t that of a muslim.

Well good, as long as you recognize that we don’t want to join Afghanistan, then go on your merry way planning independence. As for the other groups you listed above I would ask you a question. Why would you assume anyone would willingly accept annexation from Afghanistan. I can’t think of another nation on this planet (not even African countries like Sierra Leone or Liberia) are as thorough failures as Afghanistan in terms of critical factors like economics and stability. O the muslim ummah indeed!

I'm also against 'forced' assimilation, Hindko people are our friends and family and we can coexist as two ethnic groups but you have to admit Hindko is on the decline in our regions and Hindkos are adopting Pashto (the Tonali tribe is an example, now they are all considered Pashtun but originally they were Hindko), across the Indus on the eastern side the opposite is happening, even though the people there are mostly Pashtun by stock they are adopting Hindko and Pashto is dieing down over there.
