I'm usually quite vocal about current affairs but I avoided this thread for a long time, knowing the topic at hand was extremely depressing... just read up on it and I feel sick to my stomach. And you're right, Maddy, about the lack of international coverage, which makes it even sicker.

^I have a group of friends who have been campaigning for a verrryyy long time for this group, they've been constantly covering it everyday via Twitter, FB, protests, petitions and whatnot.
One of them was approached by Channel 4 yesterday, so I'd like to see where that goes, and whether a mainstream media channel is actually going to cover it in an unbiased way. We'll see :(

It is unfortunate to see their ordeal. Look at what the nearest Muslim country, Bangladesh, doing with them.

And I wonder why Saudis are not sending them any financial help. They are so quick to send their Petra dollars in Pakistan for running extremist madrasahs.
Recently they have been sending millions of dollars to Syrian rebels. So why not help these unfortunate Rohingya too?
I guess the answer is that Saudis would rather invest in sectarian conflicts than for actually helping Muslims where they need the help most.

Bangladesh really sickens me to what they are doing with these people. Pakistan huffs and puffs but we have always given medical, educational and economic access to afghans. There was an article in NY times from this pakistani doctor in texas, who works for a medical charity, that basically said that afghans might hate pakistan, but there was no visa or other requirement when an afghan kid she was working had to be airlifted to Pakistan because there was no facility to treat him back home.

With no islamic state this is what happens to muslims around the world abused and killed. this kind of disgusting behviour is also being done by indian armed forces in kashmir and the israel armed forces in palestine. This is clear indication with no unity and no islamic state the muslim ummah getting no solution to these problems!

be muslim when you pray
but be human every other time!
