because we are corrupt and becasue we dont get caught that easily as compare to for example looting a store or over speeding.

I don't think with the online checking of licensing you can run pirated software anymore.

True in western world but in third world countries software companies do not mandate online registration.

well, I use pirated text books - the pdf ones. People will argue its not right but at the end of the day it saves me more than couple of grand which I can use somewhere else. Also, have you seen the cost of textbooks?? each of the textbook is more than 70 bucks at least and most of them go up to 100.
Publishers and authors are very cruel to their customers. Who are the customer? jobless students who are sinking in debt. We don’t have lots of money floating around to buy your textbook, only to throw it away in the garbage at the end of the semester because it has 0 resale value or, to find out that there is a new edition coming up (which comes up every few month).
They are just money sucking leeches if you ask me.
But I do pay when the price is reasonable. I recently bought a pathology textbook and video subscription for 1 year because it was reasonably priced for 100 bucks. I really felt that the author deserved it and the time and energy he put in his work was exceptional.

did you ever purchase latest versions of Microsoft windows ... or software like IDM , Photoshop ... so many students in Pakistan using crack versions ... even i didnt puchase Microsoft Word office ... i registered my Microsoft office by just using crack keys ... this is happening ...
