McLaren has been doing a lot more with its P1 hypercar than just lending it to Jay Leno and renting out the Top Gear test track. The Brits have shipped the monstrous hybrid over to the American Southwest for dedicated hot weather testing and a few laps at some of the local race tracks (as seen here, we think they’re at the Streets of Willow Springs, feel free to correct us in Comments).
Besides actively trying to get the P1 to overheat (what must it be like to try and break a million-dollar hypercar?), McLaren brought video and photography crews to catch the first footage of their car on the road and without camouflage. And what of those photos and videos? They’re outstanding.
