Re: ESR 40
No help :((
Re: ESR 40
An anti inflammatory and proper diet should help reduce the ESR level in the blood, avoid fat in foods, reduce weight if over and most importantly, avoid stress.
Re: ESR 40
High ESR, i think, is normally due to an infection some where in the body. The range should be 0 - 20. Please do visit your doctor, he may recommend more tests or medication. Make sur eyou have a lot of water intake.
Insha Allah you'll be fine.
Re: ESR 40
Just came across this thread. A raised ESR indicates some kind of infection in the body, could be from a viral infection to joint, kidney, bone, thyroid infection. Esr is raised in pregnancy too and also increases with age. ARe you taking any medicines on a daily basis....cuz some medicines, too, effect the ESR levels. Are you experiencing any sort of pain in the body? Any recent infection that you took meds for?
The normal levels are from 0 to 20. A value of 40 is not alarming but its better for you to get tested by a doctor for further tests like CBC, a urine test.
Take some anti inflammatory meds meanwhile.
Re: ESR 40
I also need urgent help regarding this. Mine is also 40 but my 36th week of pregnancy is about to start. So is it normal? Have to see my doctor on saturday, if anyone can help me with it, I'll get relaxed. So please urgent replies are required people!
Re: ESR 40
like i said in my post above, a raised ESR is normal in pregnancy. Do you have anemia also? cuz that gives a raised ESR too. Once you hae the baby, check esr levels after a month. if it's going higher , then consult a doctor.
