Wasim akram a legend indeed
what do you guys think?
Re: ESPN Legend no 21
You had doubts?
Re: ESPN Legend no 21
--------------cvabn-------------
I think Mel Gibson would have been a better legend. He did not use his ball though, does that count ? ![]()
Re: ESPN Legend no 21
If Wasim is not a legend who is?
Re: ESPN Legend no 21
Wasim Akram is the best left arm fast bowler ever to grace cricket..........enough said
Re: ESPN Legend no 21
what about waqar younis
Re: ESPN Legend no 21
When the two W's were at their peak I think Waqar was more lethal and devastating (with his fast toe-crushing inswinging yorkers) than Wasim but the latter always had more variety in his armoury. Because of his quick arm action, Wasim could generate great pace from a very short run-up
Re: ESPN Legend no 21
yes they both are legends and before it starts let me tell you guys we have plenty of threads where both were compared. So please don't start another :)
Re: ESPN Legend no 21

Re: ESPN Legend no 21
Sir Donald Bradman called Wasim Akram the best left handed fast bowler of them all.

Re: ESPN Legend no 21
No Brian Lara on the top 25 list?
Re: ESPN Legend no 21
I don’t why people keep refering to Bradman’s comments regarding Wasim Akram. There haven’t been alot of great left arm fast bowlers in the history of the game, so calling him the greatest left arm fast bowler isn’t saying much.
Re: ESPN Legend no 21
lets put a full stop to this and leme just say that who came up with the inswinging yorkers? waqar and who invented the reverse swing? wasim
so the conclusion is that they both were he bombs and why they were put on the pitch was to blow some wickets, and they did that and did their job, so stop comparing em they were both equally top class in what talent and skill they possessed.

Sarfaraz is the inventer or atleast the one who used reverse swing lethally, not Wasim. Wasim may have invented some type of match fixings but this area was also lead by Salim Malik.
