I keep reading about esoteric religions like Buddhism and now Ismaili religion which has been described by my biggest fan wowyi. What I want to know is why are atheists so attracted to these religions? And why do these religions all sound the same, ie, ismaili religion which is supposed to be based on the Quran sounds just like Buddhism where soul meets nirvana. Sorry, but it doesn’t sound anything like the Quran.
Also, how come so many cocaine-sniffing actors are always pontificating about Buddhism when this is supposed to be about controlling the desires not fuelling them with cocaine?
Finally a question for wowyi:
Is it possible for a big breasted lap dancer to convert to the Ismail faith and continue her career. Please; this is a serious question. I look forward to your reply.
These are not religions at all. But excessive use of the word of religion for them as figure speech has caused some misconception.
Monotheistic religions were and are define human behavior. Also the followers were/are required living in certain framework. Contrary to this the cults you stated have no such guidelines that some feel controlling. Like in Buddhism homosexuality is a norm and is not considered and sins even immoral. When young boys join the temple to be a munk, it is perfectly OK to be screwed by seniors. In Ismailism, one can find more freedom than Islam. Why atheist are attracted to such cults. Most atheists are the products of Christianity. Growing up they observed and experienced the hypocrisy of bible. After reading the bible they further learn the inconsistencies and contradictions of bible. They lose faith in faith and become an atheist. Some point if an atheist learns about such rubbish, they becomes attractive to it for the reason stated above.
Sorry 2Pack, as much as I enjoyed the lyrics (hey, you got the video for this ;) ), I think it's a bit too off here. Please post in shor shraba if you like ]

Buddhism isnt exactly esoteric. it is practiced in some variant form or the other by people inhabiting the region from the himalayas to japan, and some other isolated locations within india, and in sri lanka.
What I want to know is why are atheists so attracted to these religions?<
Buddhism doesnt talk of a God. Buddhism more or less states that doing good or bad is your own responisbility, and doesnt use the concept of a judgement day to scare you into being good. it advocates (at least the original buddhism did) a simple life style and doesnt prescribe any rituals and sacrifices. Atheists, who claim to be rational thinkers, find these points appealing.
