"Escapology" By Robbie Williams

The Game Posts As A State Of The Board Address:

*Has anyone given it a hearing? I have always loved the song "Millenium" by him, and in the song "Feel", I got another one. Why can't the stupid North Americans accept the talent of this singer from the UK? They can appreciate pathetic tossers like Nelly and Ja Rule(Don't get me started on the popularity of the crappy rap genre), but ignore some real talent like Robbie Williams. Any thoughts on the album will be appreciated. People, That Is All.*

"Feel" is a really nice song, i got addicted to it few weeks back. the rest of the album was just fine.

Feel :k:

His worst album to date. He is a great artists, but this album sucked.
Dont get me started on Crappy pop music by talentless artists who dont even write their own music.
Stop dissing rap, because they're are plenty of telented ones, just because you are ignorant to them and have seen useless ones like Nelly and Ja, dont generalise the genre.

The Game Responds:

*And I assume that you think 50 Cent is talented? :rotfl: People, That Is All.*

i have to admit "Feel" was gr8, i also got hooked

Actually i dont really like 50Cent, and if you read other threads you would know that. I just like the name. Oh and atleast 50 Cent writes his own lyrics, and doesnt originate from a crappy 90's boy band.

And HHH sucks

I 100% agree with you game.

Robbie Williams is a very talented artist, with a good voice.

Unfortunately, he doesn't get the same hype as useless artists do like Tatu get. Robbie's lyrics are really nice, and actually give a good meaning, especially in Feel.

Btw, I really enjoyed the music behind the song Feel. Close to the half of the song, it's a guitar solo I think...

now now, we’re all entitled to our own opinions.

but seriously, 50 cent is better :).

*At what? Crime!? The People's ARTIST is talking about melody here, not criminals uttering crap about their oh so thuggy life. People, That Is All.*

What a shame, Robbies album was released in America last week, and totally flopped, selling only 20 000 coppies....where as after 2 months of release 50 Cent sold 150 000, bringing his total sales upto over 4 million.
Sales dont mean anything, but it does prove popularity...

Agreed. Sales prove how good the marketing machine is working, but there is no correlation between sales and talent, that's for sure.

*And do I have to tell you again how stupid the North American music fans are? People, That Is All.*

oh no........
come on ppl
you have to admit that robbie williams is really talented and is a good singer in his OWN genre. (Notice the word "own")
and u shud also admit that people in europe and ppl in North America have completely different tastes of music. so u can't say if an artist doesn't sell any album in some other part of the world that he sucks. it's just that people have different appreciation for music in that part of the world.
50 cent is really talented and i can see him being an extremely popular rapper 2 years from now. he'll be might not become a legend such as 2pac or anything but he will be popular, that's for sure.

my point......... Both 50 cent and Robbie williams are really good in their own music.

btw, 50 cent doesn't write his own music. Like Eminem, he gets help from Dre and eminem himself.which is not a bad thing since he's still a rookie

and one more thing.
just cuz nelly and ja rule suck doesn't mean that rap music sucks.
and just cuz ppl think that robbie williams sucks (which he doesn't) doesn't mean that pop/rock music sucks.

Robbies always had a special place in my heart, even in his Take That days. I wish he'd just be honest to himself and admit to being gay tho. His self denial is getting a little boring now.

^ Haha.

I agree with all of that excpet the last paragraph.
1) He is no way a Rookie, i have been listening to 50 since 1999. Thats 4 years, not to mention years before that. He has had about 8 albums, just one official one...
2) And sorry but 50 does write most of his own stuff, however in his album he Em and Dre co wrote stuff because the Executuive Produced his album. That still means he writes about 90% of the stuff.
