Ergonomics

I am on my laptop 15 hours a day for work, meetings etc. It is taking a toll my hands, my neck and back.

What are some things that I can do, products that are tried and tested that can help me.

Is it okay to put the laptop on legs for extended period of time?

tracker mouse versus a regular mouse?

Re: Ergonomics

The way I use my computer, I have it sitting towards the back of my desk. That way, when I am typing, my whole arm (from elbow to wrist) is resting on the desk and that prevents too much of load coming to the shoulder or neck.

Re: Ergonomics

does it work?

Interesting. I tried this and makes me feel like a zombie.

Re: Ergonomics

We have a cheaper plush one, it's comfortable, but I don't know if it works in the long run.

Re: Ergonomics

Really? Hmm, maybe your chair need to be at a height where your arms on resting on the desk at their natural height.

I dont know, maybe its a personal comfort thingie too, as it works for me

Re: Ergonomics

My office and a lot of offices have the option to get an ergonomic evaluation done by an expert. He/She comes out asesses your work habits and situation and then reccomends products which can help with your particular concerns. Maybe you could look to see if your work provides this option?
