How can something like below be acheived?

The good thing is that when you click on any news item, it opens up in a new window.

I like the Gulf news one. That seems to be mootools.

The Urdu paper is plain javascript.

this can be done by "map" tag ...
in "img" tag .. u've to define usemap ........ n then in "map" tag define coordinates
