enough of the lop-sidedness of this issue!

views such as mulim women this or muslim women that. muslim men this or muslim men that. what the heck?

does it ever occur to people that there is something called, each to her/his own!?

how often is it that we get swamped by suspicious looks of incredibility, that since we belong to the faith of Islam, or the Faith belong to us, that muslims are all alike.

that just because the amoral man is standing next to a moral man - both being muslims, can cause the moral man, to be called amoral, because he is sexually oppressed?
how screwed up this thought is?

what is it that men, who do not engage in amorality, being muslims, do, when they have to justify and elaborate and explain that NOT ALL MEN ARE ALIKE. THAT THERE IS A TIME, WHEN PEOPLES’ MINDS ARE SICKENED BY ENVIRONMENT OR LACK OF MORAL EDUCATION AND VALUES AT HOME AND BY THEIR PARENTS AND INSESITIVE CULTUTES AND AMORAL COMPANY.

same is a dilemma for decent muslimah women.

it is also true that muslims are not some special creature that does not go through puberty and adolescence, that people who are follow islam as their faith, do not feel the need to see the opposite gender and decide on a agreeable mate, eventually.

so, while it is perfectly normal and allowed, under true islam, to find and establish the qualified mate and then have a mate, and engage in intimate relationship based on ethics and respect for each other and be loyal to each other and build the institute of a family and a couple, what is not allowed is obscenity, self exhibitionism and unsacred relation out of wed-lock, without the sanctity of a pure companionate relationship between an agreeing woman and the agreeing man.

people can’t blame another society for the whole 100% of some peoples’ moral corruption. by the way, this could be a society or country, in which these people choose to be living, working along and existing among other people, who may have totally different values or no values and they may belong to and associate with a given faith-background, or they may not.

the fulcrum on which a given amoral person tries to moves the argument for amorality as a function of personal irresponsibility, can’t be accepted as such.

and in that scenario, muslim youth and unmarried or young married couples, have A HUGE responsibility, upon their shoulders to shrugg off any inclination or attribution of mis information and propaganda which contaminates their characters and assaults their personal modesty, merely because they are ascribed amorality for being from a faith, wherein this craze for sexuality is not allowed to be governing their lives. which again, if is by choice, that is perfectly fine that people do not want to be immodest , but value one proper relationship with a worthy person.

yet, many people are immodest. one could say, it is their personal business. but, one should
also see, that it could become your personal business, but immodesty will haunt your life, with you significant other, being in violation of her/his sincere relationship with you.

someone needs to tell such lost souls, simply this: "because there are other important things to live for… because you can’t ran-sack Islam as a faith, to cover your own un-ethics and disrespect for your bodies and of the bodies of the people you disgrace and abuse, if you have guts and shames, own up to your amoral living, as your own actions and not expect to be called good muslim women and men, to cover for your blasé’ neglect of your faith and modesty. amorality and immodesty comes from you, and not necessarily from what is around you and if you can, try to learn from decent and morally educated people, how to stay clean and guilt-less, when you are ready!. "

thoughts on people who pretend that they are muslims and yet their actions bring shame to other muslims, too.

and thoughts on wrong attribution to either Islam as an sexually oppressive religion and muslim women and men being oppressed as a consequence, for which the contemporary generations are and have been falling prey to amorality and as such that gets this same label of perverts for all muslim women and men.

serious perspectives, only.

Re: enough of the lop-sidedness of this issue!

i agree with all you said, mash'Allah.

Re: enough of the lop-sidedness of this issue!

following all aspects of faith should be encouraged, it seems like for many ppl religion starts and ends between the legs and that is a little lop sided of a view in itself. It is evident in the rants and raves of the religiosu establishment. What I would not give to hear the same level of rhetoric about honesty, education, huqooq al ibaad, tolerance, modesrty, moderation, equality (gender, ethnic, racial, social) etc.

one can dream i suppose.

Oh. my. god. Dush! :hugz: By farrrrrrr, one of the best posts I’ve read around here!! So well-written, I can’t even think of anything to add. You are absolutely right. :lajawab:

well said. one gets to witness more of these attributes in the west and religion is not the force behind it here, its a way of life, just as Islam preaches it to be. somewhere along the way the essence has been lost, the rituals remain. sad.

excellent insight. isn't that the basic concept behind our existence? to each our own, we are provided with more than adequate guidance to help us make our own decisions, choose btw right or wrong because we as 'Ashraf-ul-Makhlookat' have been blessed with the ability to rationalize and not believe in the 'monkey see monkey do' school of thought.

Re: enough of the lop-sidedness of this issue!

Dush, what you are saying is that let us practice to our best abilities and let others do what they have to. Stop judging each other and being hypocritical. Do not have the arrival syndrome. Something like that?

Re: enough of the lop-sidedness of this issue!

thanks, everybody. Niksik, you got it right, what i mean to say is that a society becomes able to allow loop holes, in the context of character in terms of moral behaviors between two genders, when everybody will take their responsibility for all related actions which they engage in happen to them. blaming Islam for opression and thereby being a pervert is abnoxious thought.
no where have we ever read in hadith or in Quran that for heterosexual human beings, sexuality is denied by Islam, for either gender - female or male. we all know the rights taught to us, of women and men, as couples. so, when people who want to contaminate the name of the faith with their wrong doing, make the convenient judgement against Islam, that Islam is pushing them to do this, is a an argument as unclean as a scum-bucket.
at least, such people should take their own responsibility for any of their amoral bad actions.

for instance, Arab women and men - just by looking at their videos, one can tell, either it is thoughtless copying of indecent programming and so called entertainment of other regions of the world, or that there is something that these people, in their real life imagine to have, but they can't.

being on the left side is not an issue. the drawing of the line as to how slippery that left or right, for that matter, will become, is however an impt thing to determine.

decency in relationships based on ethics is the best recipe for a social impression on the opposite gender, or people from other value systems, cultures and faiths, than blindly following and practicing the bad, risk-ridden amoral manners to seek sexual attention or give it to like minded people. such people destroy homes, bring bad name to their selves and it is that much harder for them to be able to reclaim their selves as belonging to Islam as their faith.

it is a very subtle and hidden cloak kind of a phenomenon, enabling oneself enough grace and personal power to walk around in the same society and culture, which is known for amorality. it only takes a sure decision to act morally. bottom line is: people born to Islam, ought not be able to make this lousy excuse, that they are burdened by lack of self expression due to their religion and strict culture and thereby, they fall to the levels of amoral behaviors. they ought to instead, begin respecting their selves and prevent unhealthy curiosity and worsening trend of amoral living, among their next generation. that, choice is theirs to make and make it truthfully and make it fast.
