I initially liked the idea of banning Facebook because it sent a clear message to the administrators of the site. But now that the controversial page has been taken down, I see no reason why the protests should continue.
If more controversial pages are added then Pakistan can simply ban those pages instead of banning the whole website.
It looks to me that some people are using this incidence only to place permanent ban on Facebook. In other words, they are only looking for excuses. Reason could be their dislike of the idea of social networking.
I would say it is now the time to move on. There is no reason left now to continue banning Facebook, and also Youtube. People use these website for a lot more. Why would they want to go visit those ugly pages/sites?
