I know GS admin is excessively unbiased …but there is an extent to every thing …We have allot of indians on this BB…but that doesnt mean they crack raceist jokes against any culture/cast/creed in general and Pakistan in particular.

The person who orignally cracked the joke has been thrown out of parlement because of her raceist remark and if u still think this indian guy has not violated any GS rules by posting this on PAKISTAN.ORG then God bless pakistan and God bless GS.
I think the user should be banned or at the very least given a stern warning.

raceism can encompass any derogatory remarks against cast creed culture , skin color, religion etc.........
A person can be sensative on any of these points ...let me rephrase this I think a proud pakistani would take balrams joke as being raceist. Specially me cause I love my country and am proud to be a pakistani. I am quite sensative about this particular point ......and I am quite sure u will also feel quite outraged if I come up with jokes on ahmadis ....

I am really not in the mood for a prolonged discussion. So let me tell you the policy, which is solely based on the personal judgment of the moderators. If the moderators feel that the joke went too far, it will be edited/deleted/moved, otherwise it stays. Moderators are not perfect, nor they claim to be and obviously their decisions will be biased & open to critique.
The particular joke that you find unacceptable is quiet old & has been posted here using Afghani, Sardar, Indian, Irish, Mexicans, Americans, Russians replaced for Paki… and in my personal opinion, it’s a lame joke along with the jokes with a slightly different versions of it.
This issue of gupshup being a Pakistani site, so “anything & everything against Pakistan should be removed” vs. “freedom of speech” has been raised before & as far as jokes forum is concerned the policy is simple. One who has a sense of humor takes jokes against himself as well as he/she makes ‘em against others. And obviously the joke forum is for those who have a sense of humor.
If you find a particular joke corny, lame or unacceptable, give it a 
or just don’t reply. In a discussion forum, refraining from discussing something is also a way of expression.
ahmedjee freedom of speech doesnt mean u embaress other ppl....let me put it this way...
A man was walking down the street and had a walking stick with him which he was waving carelessly in the air ...sonon he struck a passer by the passer by told him what r u doing the man replied its a free country I have got freedom of speech and movement . To which the passer by replied (translated into urdu/hindi.u might understand it then) Aap ki hud wahan khatam hotee hai jahan se meri naak shoroo hotee hai.

Just like the whole world is not free your "freedom of speech" does not make any sense here. Your version of "Freedom of Speech" should not challenge the solidarity or self recpect of common Pakistani citizens including you (if you are still Pakistani).

If someone should get banned because fof racist remark, should only be done if racist remarks against any group if punished the same. user "Poodeney_Ki_Chutney", your notion that this user should be punished because the joke was against Pakistan in particular is unvalid. the fact that this board is made by and for Pakistanis shouldn't allow us to favour Pakistanis above other races.
