Yeah actually, 34-37 weeks does have risks involved, but I think there is little they can do to off set those risks. That was what they were telling me when I had my daughter at 35 weeks. There's a cutoff right around that time for the development of something. And sometimes they can attend to that issue, and sometimes they can't, because of timing.
37 weeks is when things are considered "full term" and safe.
Honestly tho, Chameli, I stopped reading stuff. Your body is very sensitive to your mental/emotional state, and it is important to stay healthy and happy, and not worry yourself unnecessarily. Sleep and eat as best as you can, and walk to keep yourself active, unless you've been put on bedrest of course.

Have you taken a labor/birthing class? That might be nice. Get a tour of the maternity ward. Pack your bag.
Have pads for after the birth available and nursing pads. And a comfy set of LOOSE pajamas. I found button-down things a godsend, especially cuz of nursing.
I would highly recommend having ispaghol or any other dietary fibre daily to help with pre and post delivery constipation
I think the 36-37 week cut off is for the baby developing his/her lungs and breathing capacity. Sometimes they give steroid shots to mothers with pre-term labor to quickly mature babies lungs
Hoping you have an easy delivery and have a healthy baby iA
I second raania on the fiber...post natal constipation can be awful. Do make sure you tour the hospital....you can also pre register at the hospital so you don"t have to worry about giving them your insurance info/medical history etc while you're in labor. When your labr starts don"t focus too intensly on timing the contractions right away, it can be discouraging to time tem if your labor is progressing slowly. Try and get as much sleep as you can during early labor.
I had a lung-maturing injection some weeks back so the doctors think baby's lungs are matured by now if the birth happens.
I was out today after ages. it was absolutely wonderful!!I have been so reduced during most of my pregnancy that a day like today felt like a fresh input!!
We have taken the labour class, toured the labour ward at the hospital..just need to buy a few things including the loose pyjamas..will do that tomorrow and will then pack my bag and just rest for the rest of the period:D
