I think for Kaif this is either make or break it. To be honest apart from a good fielder I don't think Kaif is any good.

You are right with the first part, I'm not sure about the second part. I agree he hasn't batted well in whatever opportunities he has got, but I think he has the tallent. It's unfortunate that he isn't secured his place in the test side, for he is a thinking brain and can be a good captain.

The only batting talent I saw in him was when he played that final in England and took India to victory (Natwest final I think) apart from that I am yet to see him playing some big knocks or saving India during crucial times. Maybe that has to do with at the number he comes in…but in any case a good bastmen should be able to show his ability and I think Kaif has had so many chances to show his ability but most of the time he failed.
A good thinking brain and considering him to be a good captain won’t do any good since he is yet to secure a permanent place in the team.
He was about to prove me right…oh well its coming just wait.

I agree, his place isn't secured yet. But he has certainly displayed his captaincy, be it U-19 world cup or taking a demoralised U.P. team to win the Ranji trophy this year.

Pathetic batting by the indians. I hate the way they play. If English play slowly, Indians will also play slowly. If Pakistanies play fast, Indians will also play fast. Cant they have a strategy of their own. Dravid should be kicked in his butt for such a slow batting. What require is cautious aggression, but they did only the first part. 
. Its pity we cant beat England, playing with half of the players back home. Anyway this will generate some money for next test i suppose.
