England v India - 4th Test

Re: England v India - 4th Test

66/6

Anderson to Jadeja, OUT, duck, duck, GOOSE! Perfect set-up from Anderson, the inswinger to follow two going away and Jadeja is gone, pinned in front! Anderson looks as if he is about to burst a blood vessel, so impassioned is his celebration... Super line, similar to Jadeja's first-innings dismissal at the Ageas Bowl, pitching on leg and going straight on

Re: England v India - 4th Test

Dhoni 2 4’s , Ashwin 1 4 …counter attack :hbk:

80/6

Re: England v India - 4th Test

what a dismal performance by the Indians...top order batsmen have failed miserably.

Ashwin, batting at 24 with 2 FOURS and a SIX (strike rate 114), and Dhoni at 38 with 8 FOURS have been entertaining the crowd. keep going you two. :)

Re: England v India - 4th Test

Once again Dhoni saving them. The could hv all gone by 100.

Good toss to loss England but we'll actually see in fourth inning.

Re: England v India - 4th Test

India, at 122/6 (partnership 60 runs], has recovered modestly...let's see how far they can take India.

Ashwin has a potential to score big in test matches...he has scored a century before. these are the last two batsmen that can lead India to a modest total.

i think it's a low scoring pitch and England will not fare well as well.

Re: England v India - 4th Test

Dhoni is playing like a one day game...he has scored 71.

Re: England v India - 4th Test

@KKF you jinxed him.

From 66/6 to 152 all done. I guess not bad. England needs to play much better to get 150+ lead

Re: England v India - 4th Test

England 15/0

India could not handle the swing. In overcast conditions which were there this morning, English bowlers are lethal. Remains to be seen whether the Indian bowlers can do the same.

Re: England v India - 4th Test

6 aanday. Man, what is up with English pitches.

Re: England v India - 4th Test

if i were the team's cook, i would have served one hard boiled egg to each one of them...my way to show my displeasure with their performance.

btw, it has nothing to do with the pitch...England is batting fine....it's has everything to do with dismal Indian batting. i'm disappointed/worried with/by Virat's continuing failures.

Re: England v India - 4th Test

cricinfo:

India equalled the record for the most number of ducks in an innings with six ducks in their innings. Only four times have so many batsmen fallen without scoring. India have sustained five ducks on three occasions. This was the second time that three of India’s top-four batsmen have been dismissed for nought.

Re: England v India - 4th Test

India have a real job on their hands courtesy of poor batting performance on the quickest wicket of the series so far ((in ‘English’ (overcast) conditions)) although the pitch or the english attack was by no means frightful.

The Oval wicket (next test) is usu. full of runs so series will be gone if India lose here at Old Trafford.

My guess is England will score around 300-350 and then it will be up to the Indian batsmen to save the test, a really big ask considering the form of Kohli (it has been a struggle for him so far) and Pujara in this series

Kohli might still do well in the limited overs series

**A Tale of 6 Cricket Ducks: **India joins the party!

Most ducks in a test innings

Both South Africa and Bangladesh lost the match while Pakistan’s game against Windies was drawn.

Pakistan 128 (Drawn)

Bangladesh 87 (Lost)

South Africa 105 (Lost)

India 152 (ongoing)

Re: England v India - 4th Test

Lulz best batting order ever

Re: England v India - 4th Test

Looks like Pakistan started this trend. Classic.

Re: England v India - 4th Test

237/6 England with a lead of 85 runs. An overall lead of 150/200 will be very handy. Go England.

Eng 313/7

Pankaj got his 1st wkt and now averaging 275.0 :p

Eng 325/8

Pankaj is on track now, his 2nd wicket

Pankaj Singh to Buttler, OUT, another uppish drive, and Pankaj has another wicket! That's full, outside off, and he doesn't quite get to the pitch and scoops it straight into mid-off's hands. That was a slower ball, bowled with the offcutter action. It was definitely much slower, at 116.2 kph, and clearly deceived Buttler
