After two disappointing series with both bat, ball and in the field, I am all for Karthik to be dropped. He hasn't contributed in any department and has been a major letdown. Both him and Ramesh Powar, the start of the long tail for India.

England win by 42 runs and lead the 7 match series 2-1

Re: England v India 3rd ODI at Edgbaston 27 Aug 2007

You mean match? right?
Karthik and Bowl?

Re: England v India 3rd ODI at Edgbaston 27 Aug 2007

Apologies for my mention of Karthik's bowling.

Referring to the test series vs. Bangladesh and current one in progress, his fielding efforts have been very lethargic. Plus the fact that Dhoni can bowl but Karthik doesn't limits his capabilities as a team member. My opinion is he should be expanding his arsenal instead of contracting it. Individuals like Pathan have been benched which seemed a good reason to begin with, but as time has progressed, the physical fitness of half the team has come into the picture, and it looks merely satisfying.
