Soft cOlours look really nice on engagements, do NOT go too dark. Save that for ur big day :)

Most girls do light pink. I wore light pink with turquoise accents. I suggest something in soft light colours also, definitely save the bright and deep shades for the wedding! Plus it's more elegant. But my biggest suggestion is for you to choose colours (even just roughly if not the exact combination) for your wedding and valima first so you can have something completely different on the engagement. You wouldn't want to choose a light green for the engagement then fall in love with something green for the valima... like I have done!

i'm getting engaged in april and i've told my MIL to be to get something light like - light green or light blue with pink or just pink. i think these colors are pretty common for engagements. As for my fiancé, he'll be wearing either a dark blue or black salwaar kamiz. :)

my MIL got me a peach suit with very delicate silver and gold kaam. We gave my hubby a cream-colored silk suit with a little embroider and a vest.

well i think dress with light green color will be best but as jewelry matters a lot and what i have seen is that almost all wedding sets looks very pretty on this color i am not sure about the design of your jewelry but i am too sure that it will look very awesome.

Yes. It's still one of my favorite outfits. She had it made with a shalwar, which was nice, but it looks even better with a churidaar.
