so i’m ring shopping right now and have been learning all about the 4 C’s :). there is so much to know and look for when purchasing a diamond ring! please share your stories and experiences dealing with rings and what factors you considered for choosing the diamond, setting, white gold vs platinum vs yellow, and place you bought your ring from.
i’ve looked around at all the mall shops (zales, kays, ben bridge, tiffany’s, macys, etc) and have also looked into costco as well as the jewelry district. i’m still not sure which place overall is best. i liked a particular ring at zales, but the diamonds aren’t certified. they do however offer a lifetime warranty. is that good enough?? can you bargain with prices at these types of stores? what about getting a ring from one of the nicer, bigger shops in pakistan (like Karat)? can you get a good diamond for the right price in pakistan?
post pictures of your engagament/wedding ring(s) and band(s). also, any advice on what to ask, look for and recommendations for stores/jewellers to purchase from in the LA area?
My husband bought my ring from Bindis in San Francisco. They gave him a certificate and I get a free cleaning and resetting every year. They gave him a good deal. He had a friend whos father was a jeweller and appraised it for a lot more than hubby paid for it.
I think they might even have a store in LA. Check them out.
Good luck
make sure it passes the 3Cs test..dont buy anything less than a VVS2...and color needs to be in the D-H range...also..a properly cut diamond is proportional...so that no matter where the light enters the stone...the light is directed at the top of the stone...its not distributed...i would say check the diamonddoctor.com (spelling) or jewelery exchange store..(wholesale diamonds)..good luck...make sure you get the certificate...as warned above :)
apparently there wasn’t enough time to get a diamond ring so he just got a gold ring for our engagement…it was very last minute
and i dunno i dont wanna tell him that i want it …he should know it himself
let see
