Have you gotten a trial with her yet? I've been emailing her back and forth and it's such a coincidence, but her sister gets brides ready here where i live. She does good work! Anyways, I'll be in LA towards the end of January and first week of Feb, so that's when I'll prob go get my trial done, inshaAllah. She suggesed some photo/video ppl, too. If you don't mind sharing, let me know who you're using, or if u know any other good ones. BTW, are u getting mehndi done by her, too? I know of another lady that does bridal mehndi there, so i might look into that. :)
no i haven't gotten a trial done yet. i'm waiting for my mom to come back with my dress so she can work properly with the colors and stuff. i'll ask my mom about who we've hired for photo/video. a friend of mine is a photographer (female) and i still have to talk to her about taking photos/video at the mayoun and mehndi which will be ladies only. whose your other mehndi lady? im still looking around for the mehndi part. :)
The mehndi lady is someone named Sajal (spelling?). My cousins in LA told me about her and she did the mehndi for a family friend who got married last year (in LA). They said she did a good job. I really don't know about her rates though. I'll let u know when I find out.

im posting pics of my ring- because im a nerd i asked him to drive me to my manicurists right after he proposed and then took pictures of my ring next to the bouquet he bought me. haha
its a 1 carat round brilliant cut in the center, surrounded by smaller round brilliant cuts with same specs on the diamonds on the band. the other specs im unsure of, to be honest, cos it was a surprise proposal and he bought it for me himself, so i'm not supposed to see the receipt and/or the certification. i know he had the design copied from one he saw online, through one of his clients, but i forget which website he found it on. we saw a ton of rings online in the months leading up to the proposal and i got lost in the many beautiful designs and kept changing my mind. so glad he picked it out! whew!
just looking at it thought, i'd guess its either a D or an E on the color scale since its very, very clear. and a VVS1 or VVS2, but then im not a jeweller so im not sure of the clarity exactly- don't have the magnifying glass. its extremely sparkly though- reflects light like nobody's business, i tell you. i loooooooove it!
