I wore the dupatta on my head when I got engaged (this past december!). I wore my hair down though and pinned the dupatta further back. My jewelery was VERY simple …I felt like this kept my look from being “too dulhan” … but still set me apart from all the other guests. I figure that inshAllah when the time for me comes to get married, I will be wearing my hair up and be wearing a much heavier dress and obviously heavier jewelery.
Do whatever you think will look good on you! Its a very special occassion in your life.
