^ wow i love the white suit, she looks soo pretty! so girls i need a bit of advice.. ive noticed that majority of the girls are wearing their dupatta on their head during the engagement.. do you think it looks better when the dupatta is worn on the head or just pinned/draped to the side? I dont have a problem with wearing it on my head as it does look pretty, i just dont want to end up looking like too much of a bride/dulhan on my engagement, id rather save that for the wedding day!.. what do you think?

personally i wouldn't, for that simple reason i dont want to look like a bride but then again theres probably ways round that

I wore the dupatta on my head when I got engaged (this past december!). I wore my hair down though and pinned the dupatta further back. My jewelery was VERY simple ...I felt like this kept my look from being "too dulhan" ... but still set me apart from all the other guests. I figure that inshAllah when the time for me comes to get married, I will be wearing my hair up and be wearing a much heavier dress and obviously heavier jewelery.
Do whatever you think will look good on you! Its a very special occassion in your life. :)

Per Yanzala’s Request … here are some of my Engagement pics. Please excuse the bad quality … these were taken by a friend who used my really bad digital camera. The lighting was horrible as well and these pics came out dark and blurry…We have not yet received the professional photographer pics. 
This green outfit was given to me by my parents.

The pink outfit was given to me by my fiance’s parents. I wore it on my engagement as well…just the second half of it I changed my hairstyle so that it’s a side ponytail and changed my jewerly and shoes as well. His parents also gave me the gajaray that I am wearing in my hair and on my wrists. I’m not usually a fan of them but I wore them since it was so thoughtful for my MIL and SIL to make them and match them to my outfit.

Hey MB, i agree with you but i also think that if pinned nicely and not in too much of a dulhany way, the dupataa would look nice too! Hmm im jus gna wait for the finished outfit then decide.. :)

Means alot because I did my hair and makeup myself. I live in the middle of nowhere that has no place you can get stuff done professionally

PunjabiRose, Talent like yours, you wudnt need to go to a salon to get it professionally done. Just because its in a salon doesnt mean they do a good job, And you can see what some brides look like frm the outcome. You looked amazing, And my fav is the green one too. xxxx Cant wait for your wedding pics xx
