engagement in a hall?????

My engagement is at the end of next june, its gonna be done in a hall and there are gonna be about 150 guests. I’ve always seen engagements at home and never at a hall so all u guppies can help me cos im confused

Is there suppose to be music? a stage? whats the decor suppose to be like? and then after the ring exchange are ppl suppose to feed u mithay? and then entrance- is there suppose to be a grand entrance for the girl as well?

I’m prefer things low key so this is all new stuff! thanks for any advice folks!

You can have music and sweets/fruits after you exchange rings.

My engagement was at home and quite simple...no sweets or music but I did got gifts after the ring exchange :)

Since yours will be in a hall I suppose you can do music but can also keep it simple it's really up to you :)

My engagement was in a hall and there were around 150 people. it was like a mini wedding with DJ, Stage, center pieces, photographers, videographers, grand enterences and all the shabang you have at the wedding. You can keep it low key if you like.

hey ..my engagement ws in a hotel too
just do it like a mini wedding...all the stuff bt nt as extravegant...if u know what i mean ..lol

on my sis`mangni we were just 40 people, but it was also in a hall....

my engagement was in a wedding lawn too ...n it was also like a mini wedding with 120 to 150 ppl ...had music ,dj ,tabla wala singing ajeeb o ghareeb ghazals dat i had to stop them singing decorated stage etc

we hadn`t any dj or so... just music from laptop with a sound system... my dad is too strict, so it was not so modern...

my engagement was in ramadan :halo: dont make the function very weddingish..i think u should keep it simple… :slight_smile:

i think so too… but i have seen so many engament dulhans, really overdressed… so its not only the function, to hold simple…
