Wear her baraat dress with her dupatta not on her head, but with all the jewellery. No-one could say she is trying to out-do the bride as she's still a bride herself! Just don't wear dupatta on the head. Three days after my walima was Eid, and I wore my baraat dress - best move ever. Got loads of compliments :)
No, wearing your own wedding dress just days after your wedding is just weird.
She can wear anything else just as fancy and nice, but not a wedding dress.
Yes, that's a good idea. A lot of in laws even get mad if the DIL is not wearing her wedding clothes as these are worn at the weddings of close family members. When I was getting married, I told my friends to wear their wedding dresses, none of them looked like the bride.

of course - wearing it 6 years later when it's out of fashion and you have to get it altered cus you're too out of shape to fit in it is a much better idea.
Something about bridals that never really go out of fashion and everything comes back around every 3-5 years. Cholis are back in after all the long stuff is slowly changing up. Re wearing your wedding dress days after your wedding is little bit of a no no in my opinion, especially to someone else's wedding. I mean camon let the actual bride in the room be the only bride there. Eid occasion is one thing but a reception, not really good etiquette IMO. But to a family wedding a year or so later, why not. At that point, the dulhan effect has been diminished and people only care about when your going to be having a baby. It doesnt take away from the current bride at that point..
Can't advise you what to wear, but plz do not do what a close family member did on her brother's wedding.
She made a red..yes red, brand new wedding outfit (lengha) by Karma and wore it on the baraat day, with all the works; fancy hairstyle, joomar, full jewellery, the full works. I gasped and gasped in horror when I saw her.
The bride made her own entrance in her very own red bridal outfit also made by Karma .. it was so very awkward.
Throughout the evening, the grooms sister took off her jewels, took down her hair, wiped off some of the makeup.
I don't understand why folks won't let the bride be the bride, it's her day!
