I also know someone whose starting to get clothes from Pakistan to sell here but her point is to sell them cheaper because its mainly for her friends and family, so if you're looking for just dawat type clothes contact her and she'll get you clothes. I have her number, let me know if you want it and i think she has a page on fb called style'n collection.

I agree, the website is definitely a let down!
I actually went to see her last month and she had many beautiful pieces, the outfits in stock were nothing like the dresses on the website. I wouldn't judge her based on her website.

yup! she's got great clothes - really good quality but she doesn't bargain at all and she's quite pricey.

she made my mehendi and wedding dresses and did a great job except for a couple of things but overall i do, and have, recommended her to people.

Thank you SGC, does Mrs. Abida Q carry ready made outfits as well? Based on your experience, what is the approximate price range for formals and bridals? Did she replicate a design (image of an outfit) for you? Or did she design the outfit? Thanks!

I actually ended up purchasing my engagement outfit from Saira Sheikh in Mississauga (Eastern Collections). My fiances sister also ordered a custom piece from her and it turned out beautifully. Her prices are usually begin at 300 and can go up from there, she does bargain so it's not set in stone either. The designs are gorgeous and the work and craftsmanship is really impeccable. Also, alterations are offered at no additional cost. I had a great experience with her and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for bridal outfits!

^ bareeze just opened a new location in mississauga. Oriental costumes carries threads and motifs. Also, haseen collections (i hope i remembered the name correctly) in brampton carries designer wear.. i believe they carry nomi ansari and zainab sajid.

I don't know about designer pieces. But there's a shop at the Dundas flea market in Mississauga that has semi formals. It's called "First Fashion" - they're reasonably priced and have some nice stuff. Their number is 416-670-7610 and have stuff at home also. The lady's name is Rubina.

I have purchased from Haseen Fashions (I bought a Zainab Sajid outfit). The prices are kind of high though. They start at $300 for just a little bit of kaam and go up from there. But it is designer wear, not replicas. She has Nomi Ansari, Zainab Sajid and Threads and Motifs. She did say (this was last November) that she is trying to get more designers as well.

I also bought an outfit from Bareeze. They sell their couture line, Chinyere. Prices start at about $150 for simple/casual wear, and goes up from there. The lady is very nice, and even let me exchange my outfit (it was unworn of course) after the 10 days set in their policies because the sleeves were bothering me.

Haseen Fashions is in Brampton.

Bareeze is in Mississauga (Derry and McLaughlin)

@ everyone for the suggestions. Will be making a quick trip down to Ontario tomorrow... I'll only be there for one day only, so would REALLY appreciate it if anyone could perhaps name more stores that sell designer dresses?

Try Oriental Costumes and ask for either Mehnaz aunty or Arjumand. Let them know that you found them on GupShup.

They were supposed to get a new shipment in this week so you should be able to get your pick of the lot.
