I had a dupatta on my head and my hair half-way up with curls coming down on one side. It looked really nice and elegant and did not look like a bridal look at all! So I say yes to the dupatta especially if you get some nice back-combing done–looks real elegant. You will stand out and no one can be mistaken for the bride to be;)

I had mine set the same way as ash817, and I agree it looked just right. xxx
