Of course she can! She can wear whatever she likes. I think rich pastel shades look especially lovely for engagements, but anything goes.

The girl can wear whatever, a lehanga, shalwar suit, chooridar, sari etc.
Why dont you go shopping and see what dress looks nice instead of shopping for a certain color. OR you could ask your bhabi-to-be and see if she has something in mind.

mine was like a salmon with white beads on it it looked very elegant nd cute
but ask ur bhabhi choridars are in big time with kaam up to knees and wat not.

I wud reccomend asking u're bhabi-to-be as well..perhaps she has sumthing she'd like to wear =) salmon or tea-pink churidar wud look great..depends on her skintone as well..

She can wear anything, Shalwar kameez, Churidar or lengha. Something simple would look nice and i agree with the rest, pastel colours would be the best. Would be a good idea to ask her what she might like to wear

i wore an ivory and red lehenga- the top was ivory with red and gold kaam, and the lehenga and the dupatta were red.

you dont have to dress very simple…but it also depends on the function…if its a small family gathering at home…it might look awkward dressed in a heavy dress…

yup! depends on the size of the affair too- a friend of mine had hers in a banquet hall and her inlaws bought this really pretty tea pink and pale blue churidar. it had dull gold kaam on it.
before the engagement day, they presented it to her with the chooriyan, a jewellery set they had made with tea pink stones, matching khussa's and a little purse- and it was all wrapped up in a beautiful basket.
she looked adorable- like a little doll.
the outfit was perfect for a gathering of the size that she had- not too overdone and not too plain.

i dont like when the girls on their engagements look like dulhans already! i think a nice shalwar suit is always always elegant or maybe a chooridar or capri

I think churidaar's, anarkali dresses, peshwaas..hyderbadi jora's look great for engagements. In pretty pastel colors such as peach, lavender, sea-green..powder pink.
