As long as we are on de Silva subject.
He has just announce his retirement.
He said he will quit his career after he finishes his test and ODI.
Clearly the 2nd best SL batsman ever.
I remeber his peroformance at 96 WC final against Australia and his brilliant centuries against Pak in March of 2000.

Looks like Sri Lanka heading for an innings defeat.
England 401/5
Murali on his return to test cricket has so far taken four wickets.

yes..loosk like murali kept bowling whol day from one end and get 4/105.Its not good sign when bowlers score centuries.
They are asking too much from a half fit Murali, other bowlers should step up but it wont be easy.Sri Lankan squad doesnt have have depth or talent in the bowling line up.

Murali's Double Strike Took Him Beyond Wasim Akram's 414-Wicket Haul In Tests And Into Fifth Place On The All-Time List.
So Sri Lankan batting might exposed..
They lost to England by ining and 111 runs.

Third test match:
** England 1st innings 512
Sri Lanka 1st innings 253
Follow on**
The short comings of Sri Lankan attack have been exposed during this tour. They are a two man atack, Vaas and Murali, and if they dont perform the result is for all to see.

yes i remember his batting in 1996 world cup when they were in semi finals with india.ist over jayasuria and kalu waitharna gone and for 35/3 was the score and he was just hitting boundaries all over the wicket he made 67 outta 46 balls i think with 14 fours amazing simply amazing .in such a presure .they really planed to win the 96 cup .

I think you need to take a refresher course on cricket. The team which has thrashed Sri Lanka out of sight and scored 512 runs is boring!!!!!.
