Pakistan produces some TOP NOTCH engineers. Why not get some engineers and build some independent nuclear power plants?
Why is this hard for Pakistan??

Re: Energy in Pakistan
I'm not talking about nuclear WEAPONS. I'm talking about a nuclear source of energy, like we do in the US and other parts of the world. It worries me that Pakistan has decided to rely on India for it's energy. Seriously? They do realize that India can just SHUT OFF our power supply?
Re: Energy in Pakistan
Pcg why don't you stick to life and fashion forums? Consider this an advise from barras.
Re: Energy in Pakistan
We already have nuclear weapons.
Pakistan is not 'relying' on energy from India. The 'proposed' import of electricity is a tiny fraction of our needs which is not gonna happen anyways.
We need a lot more than engineers to construct and run nuclear power plants. $$s, technology, 'qabool hai' from amrika, nuclear fuel, 'niyyat' from our politicians.
India will shut off our power supply???? We do it ourselves..... daily...... for long hours. :D
Re: Energy in Pakistan
BAD idea to rely on your power from people you're not friends with. BAD idea!

No we don't!!
Finishing eng. degree only give you some tools to use. It don't mean much out side of rishta process.
Its like some one buying paint and paint brush.
Artist is know by the work, like picasso or sadiqe'en, if there is now art there is not artist to parse!!
Re: Energy in Pakistan
Monk, save it. We in the US import engineers from India and Pakistan all the time, and they're effin brilliant. Those people didn't HAVE to leave south asia if they were provided a better working environment, pay etc.
Re: Energy in Pakistan
khuam-o-kha ki bahas.
We need solution from scratch.
Not every "brilliant" person know shyt from scratch.
All they do is work/ manage already established theories/systems.
If I flip you original statement you it has the answer.
"we continue to have energy crisis because our eng are poopoo heads"
We have Nuclear power plant near Karachi. I think it's no longer in function, thanks to mismanagement of our leaders

it was operational recently, and "no longer functioning" is not because of mismanagement, its because this plant was designed to work 30 years which it did.
this from the wiki link you posted above.
Re: Energy in Pakistan
we have two more operational nuclear power plant in Mianwali 300 MW each
Chashma Nuclear Power Plant-1 and 2 (CHASNUPP-1 & CHASNUPP-II)
two more under construction - 340 MW each
CHASNUPP-III expected to go online in 2015
CHASNUPP-IV - 2017 -
Re: Energy in Pakistan
As far as I know, producing electricity from nuclear power is much more complicated than making nuclear weapons. In nuclear weapons, nuclear fission is started which doesn't need to be stopped or controlled but when producing electricity, the process of fission is controlled through the use of moderating agents like heavy water. Its like a controlled nuclear explosion. This kind of expertise Pakistan does not have so it has to import these plants from China. Currently Pakistan can only enrich uranium which can be used in nuclear power plants but cannot make these power plants.
Re: Energy in Pakistan
^ i read somewhere sometime ago, that CHASNUP-III and IV projects include technology transfer as well...

well, storing/dumping used radio active rods is more difficult then making n-power.
Its just shoved in earth's A$@. How amazing dumb that is ???????????
They should tell us people, we give your energy but the cost might be charged from your off spring couple of decade later in the form of health or life.
