The reports and news articles we come across claim that, in most cities and towns in Pakistan, there is “load-shedding” for 14-16 hours every day. This is not only unfortunate for the sake of living conditions but also a huge cause for concern. Reading reports about the inauguration of 2 power plants at port Qasim are indeed encouraging. In addition, USAID is also funding projects in Pakistan, such as the “smart meters”, which would allow for more efficient and cost-effective electricity distribution to millions of people, renovation of the Tarbela Dam in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Jamshoro Thermal Power Plant in Sindh, and the Muzaffargharh Thermal Power Plant in Punjab as well as construction of the Satpara Dam in Gilgit-Baltistan which resulted in adding 1,000 megawatts to the power grid which has supplied enough power to more than 16 million people. In addition, it is planned that 200 megawatts will be added to that sometime this year. .
Hopefully, with the help of its allies and various independent projects, the Pakistani establishment would be able to effectively tackle the issue of power shortage in the near future.
Lets not talk about charities for a moment, why not provide nuclear power at scale similar to that was offered to India?

just for the argument sake; why USA is not ghusaaing ungliyaan in the matters of other countries? Hum main hee kyaa chaand lagay huai hain ke USA hum ko phalta phoolta nahi dekhna chaah rahaa.
AP, that is a weak statement. Why could not we go and get involved in other people’s business? USA is not involved, USA was invited. History is evident that our leaders including Benazir always ran to USA crying mommy mommy every time things did not go in their direction.
