No one defined the beautiful culture and feelings of people of rural Punjab, as Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi’s did in his short stories. His stories like Kapaas ka phool, Sannata, AalaaN, Parmeshar Singh are considered as classics in Urdu literature.
He was a very good poet too who introduced and encouraged poets like Parveen Shakir and Amjad Islam Amjad. Parveen Shakir used to call her Ammooo and one of her books (probably Khushboo) is dedicated to Qasmi Saheb.
