Does your company match the dollars you give to non-profit organizations that are involved in different humanitarian and social activities?
Among the four companies I have worked for, one had such program that caped at $500 and another only matched funds if given to local already registered with them (i.e. very specific to our city) charities. They also let you take off two days in a year if you want to volenteer at such organizations.

Our company matches $ for $ when you donate to charities of their choice, but you also have option of informing them of a worthwhile charity that they would look into and perhaps match $ for $ on that as well. Recently people in my department brought up option of being able to volunteer with company support. My Co. is huge so i'm sure in some parts that's available, but we are trying to find out for our particular departmental link, what is available. Several staff wants to volunteer in New Orleans or maybe Habitat for Humanity...something of the like.

My company matches every dollar as long as the carity is non-profit 513c org. You can also take 1 week off every year for charity orgs.
