Emotionally disturbed!

What do you do when you feel “baybas or lachar” and yet you want to stay strong?

You want to be strong and dont want to cry but the tears just wont stop?

Re: Emotionally disturbed!

you need to keep yourself busy, avoid the issue that is making you feel the way you're feeling....go out, do things you like, and most importantly be around the company of people you love (friends and family)...it helps, not completely but it helps. I also find comfort when I pray namaz and read the Qur'an :)

Re: Emotionally disturbed!

sometimes my concentration on my work or topic of study totally gets distracted when i'm emotionally messed up. \

It's the most horrible time for me but i write little notes on sticky pads and stick them everywhere, "be here now!" helps because sometimes my thoughts go back to whatever nightmare experience i'm going through so i can steer my concentration back to what's important like the paper i need to write or the exam i need to do well on

Re: Emotionally disturbed!

I think it's good...necessary even......to let the tears come......to cry your heart out. In some situations (like a professional setting) it might not be the best thing to do. But the emotional release can be cathartic. It can be unhealthy to let the stress remain bottled up inside you for too long. That said, don't feel bad about crying...you're human.

As for how to stay strong......I think that prayer/dua provides peace. Along with that.....reminding yourself that eventually this too shall pass....and counting your blessings can bring some comfort. Maybe try seeing the good in a situation and what can be gained from it. Talk it out/vent with family or friends. In the process...you might arrive at some solutions. Keeping yourself occupied with more positive activities can help....it can help in preventing mental exhaustion.

Re: Emotionally disturbed!

If its as desperate as it sounds could be brain chemical imbalance?

Re: Emotionally disturbed!

^True, it could be depression. And nutritional deficiency can contribute toward depression as well. And in some cases...medical intervention may be necessary. But the OP hasn't mentioned the cause of her distress.

Re: Emotionally disturbed!

crying helps

Re: Emotionally disturbed!

pray and divert your atttnetion with something you enjoy..hope that helps

Re: Emotionally disturbed!

Being around loved ones or friends, anything that keeps you busy and stops your mind from wondering is the solution, as RV said it could however be depression in which case you should consult a doctor and sometimes confiding in a stranger i.e. a doctor really helps too

Re: Emotionally disturbed!

You are dehydrated , and you need minerals and water . :k:

Re: Emotionally disturbed!

Human's are baybus and Lachar anyway, its just that sometimes we get sometime to think about it, which in way is better. Sort of reality check.

What to do? talk to the one who is not baybus lachaar i.e Allah
