Aisha you need to see Abu Dhabi not Electra only. btw electra is nice place too. if for you new buildings n not to forget with no residents, r sign of cleanliness then u need to correct urself. As far as parking is concerned that well that is and have been a major issue in Dubai hence Paid parking system there. I go to Dubai on almost every weekend. If you are want me to analyze the whole dubai with one place then how about that area , what you call Bur dubai taxi stand n surrounding area like Bank road i guess thats wht its called on the bank of sea. YOu cannot even stand there for more then few mins. Coz all is full of ....hmm... i better not mention that nation here but u know whom I mean. So based on that one place i wont comment on whole dubai. right??
There is no doubt even 0.1% that the capital of UAE is more planned, organised, less congested and clean. The reason is that they do not want to create it a mess like dubai is. Dubai is basically a shopping hub and its economy is based on tourism majorly. So all kind of creature come there for the sake of shopping. They do not have even better roads. Now dont say u can compare dubai roads with Abu Dhabi's roads. Dubai roads and abu dhabi streets can be compared, coz both are same in width.
Moreover abu dhabi is the richest of all Emirates hence surviving in this recession period. Whereas dubai needs to pay a lot of loans for the projects it had started blindly and now dont know how to complete them.
Anyway I am not here to compare AUH with DXB. i neve did that but facts remain the facts. I like dubai but just to visit it on weekends. Living there would be difficult.
I go to abu dhabhi almost everyweek too and so does my dad. My uncle works for EMC. Mercedes so he goes there everyday. I have seen other parts of AUH too and not just Electra street. Plus lady I should tell you that not only me but actual people living in Abu Dhahbi tell me that they want to shift to Dubai because of all the problems there. Now that is another perspective right, from people ACTUALLY LIVING THERE. I am not saying Abu Dhahbi is not clean etc. I am just saying it is not better than Dubai:halo:
Oh by the way the feeling is mutual, Abu Dhahbi is great for visiting but it wil be hard to live there. There is hardly anything to do in Abu Dhahbi:chai:

Abu Dhabi might be oil rich but they will always be the paindos. They do not know how to spend their money hence copying Dubai in each and everything. Too bad innit that they have to do this.
^ oh so thats ur concerned. I mean i know ppl who are used to live in dubai wont like to be in abu dhabi coz of dubai life is fast and vice versa. but thats what we were not dicussing. Baat ho rahi thi cleanliness etc ki.
anyway its just like ppl from islamabad wont like to live in cities like karachi and Lahore and vice versa. I like peaceful places.
My first visit to Dubai was on Emirates Airlines and I passed through Gate -3.The terminal is amazing .The massive structure is clean to the very end,and a great thing to watch.The only thing is it's very much deserted at many palces. :D.This is exclusively for Emirates flights to any destination in the world.
Two months ago i was their, its exceptionally build & very elegant. Also easy to navigate around even for the first-timers. From Plane to Taxi .. total time was 15-25 minutes, it's that good !
Yes Abu Dhabi looks like paindu to Dubay’s, but its more cultured then Dubai in every way. Abu Dhabi should stay as it is, instead of copying Dubai or other metropolitcan cities they should emphasize on promoting & showing true Arabian Culture with the blend of east !
As far money matters, Abu Dhabi can’t be compare with Dubai in anyway, the recent example is the Banking Crises. Dubai was on the verge of becoming a bankrupt state, but big brother (Abu Dhabi) came to help and bail them out !
Firenze right. you see more of Arab culture in AUH than in dubai. Dubai is more like a lil india. You see only Indians every where. Wont even see the local arabs.
Even Al Ain has tried to preserve their culture which is definitely a good point.
Dubai is just running after west blindly. I dont see Abu Dhabi has copied anything from dubai in any terms and I wish it stays the way it is.
Fairytale you are SERIOUSLY blind. Abu Dhahbi copied Emirates and made Etihad, Copied Burj Al Arab and made Emirates Palace, Copied Dubai Metro copied this copied that.....
Your points are based on materialistic things ex. buildings, airlines, palaces. That's why i said before Abu Dhabi is more cultured then Dubai.
Come out from closet and see the reality, if Abu Dhabi wanted to become a hot-spot for lovers of buildings, malls, beauties & else, they have more resources/money then Dubai.
Recent world recession force Dubai to halt the projects and investments. Hundreds of thousands of Pakistani/Indian's lost billions $ in just property in last 2 years. Where is the boom? it's no where anymore. When the growth is build on flashing signs then this what you get. Cranes are stopped, people are leaving Dubai as fast pace, actually just have a round of Dubai Airport and see by your eyes thousands of cars with keys inside. Banks are consolidating with the help of other Emirates.
I have yet to see any R&D facility or good ranking university or a museum or a gallery .. in Dubai. If their is, let me know
I know! I just put it on my hand to just smell the damn thing! too bad bath and body works is not available in dubai and my bottle has almost run out :(
